Robert Alikonis

Robert J Alikonis, 43, of 706 N Robinson St, Bloomington, died at 8 p.m. Monday (Oct 20, 1986) at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago.  Cremation rites will be accorded.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Nov 1 at Atherton Chapel, Wesley United Methodist Church, the Rev Bert Lancaster officiating.

Mr Alikonis was born in Bloomington Aug 9, 1943, a son of Justin and Gladys Van Horn Alikonis.

He had been legal counsel for the Department of Agriculture for the state of Ohio; the National Agricultural Chemical Association in Washington, D.C. and for the Pesticide Formulators Association in Washington, D.C.  He also had a private law practice in Washington, D.C.

Mr Alikonis grduated from Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, Ohio, in 1965 and from the University of Toledo Law School in 1968.

He is survived by a brother, James, Cincinnati; and two sisters, Janet Alikonis, RR 1, Hudson; and Nancy Alikonis, Arlington, VA.

Memorials may be made to Howard University Nursing Fund, Washington, D.C., or the Alikonis Memorial Nursing Fund at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington.
