I worked 23 years at Battelle in Columbus, Ohio, before joining CC Technologies (now DNV GL) in 1990. I retired from DNV GL in January 2017 and now a part-time consultant for HSI GROUP, INC. I've led engineering and research projects in the areas of materials behavior and pressure equipment integrity. The topics that I have investigated include fatigue, creep, fracture, and corrosion. My current work includes fitness-for-service and remaining life assessment of engineering components. I've also been active in developing special-purpose engineering software, such as WinTUBE(TM), CorLAS(TM), and P-CATlife(TM).

My Related Personal Data

My wife, Donna Jaske, writes and teaches English as a second language. We have two daughters, Kat and Karen. Kat teaches high school French and English and four published novels - For Honor: An Adventure of What Might Have Been, Gambit: For Love of a Queen, and Righting Time, and Out of Phase: A Time Traveler's Chronicle. Karen is a nurse practitioner at The Ohio State University Hospital.

School Story:

The fireworks that exploded in the school plumbing comes to mind, as well as some highly noxious material that was left in a water fountain.

From high school vocabulary studies, I recall "lionized" as being alumni of the University of Illinois.
