Terry Leverenz

Terry W Leverenz, 59, of Clearwater, Fla, formerly of Bloomington, died Feb 14, 2003, at his home. 

A memorial service was Feb 24 at St Paul United Methodist Church, Largo, Fla.

Terry was born Sept 7, 1943, in Wellington to Lyle W and Betty O Stienbarger Leverenz.

Surviving are three children; son, Dr Darren W Leverenz, Tampa, and twins, Carmen and Chad Leverenz, Atlanta, Ga; his mother, Betty (Bob) Lockhart, Naples, Fla; two brothers, Richard (Nancy) Leverenz, Hudson, and Kim (Judi) Leverenz, Peoria; a sister, Cheryl (Jim) Hedrick, Champaign; and a special friend, Marguerite Taylor, Palm Harbor, Fla.

Terry was preceded in death by his father.

He attended schools in Wellington and Bloomington.

Terry was in the banking business in Bloomington, Eureka, and Paris, Ill.

The last several years he had been in marketing in Florida, and was working with Capital Marketing Concepts in St Petersburg at the time of his death.

Terry enjoyed sports of all kinds and was a basketball referee in Central Illinois for many years.  He most recent triumph was helping cheer the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the World Championship this year.
