Julian "Pete" Ray Shull

The funeral of Julian "Pete" Ray Shull, 18, of 707 W Front, killed Tuesday morning in a traffic accident in Michigan, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Schahl Funeral Home at Mount Pulaski, with burial in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Stamper Memorial Home and Thursday afternoon at the Schahl Funeral Home.

Tragedy Again Strikes Family

J.R. Shull Dies in Crash -- Sister Killed Nov 20

Julian Ray Shull, 18, of 707 W Front was killed about 7 a.m. Tuesday, in a head on collision of two trucks on Route 12, at Harbert, MI.

His 13 year old sister, Janice of 712 S Bunn, was killed Nov 20 in the collision of two cars at the intersection of Clinton and Miller Streets .  She was thrown to the pavement following the crash.

Other Driver Unhurt

Shull, who worked for a construction company, was moving from one town to another when his truck collided with a truck loaded with steel.  The entire left side of Shull's truck was torn away by the impact.  The driver of the other truck was not injured.

Death was caused by a spinal fracture and was instantaneous.

Inquest Cancelled

He was taken to Smith Funeral Home at New Buffalo, Michigan and will be brought to the Stamper Memorial Home.

An inquest into the death of his sister scheduled for Thursday morning has been canceled, according to McLean County Coroner Curtis Gilberts.

Surviving are his wife, the former Carolyn Lane, and a week old son, Trent T; his parents, Mr and Mrs George T Shull, 712 S Bunn; and his grandparents, Mr and Mrs Charles H Hanslow, Sr, Mount Pulaski; Mr and Mrs Darrell Shull, Lincoln.
