The memorial service of Norman J Walton, 59, of 10 Woodruff Drive, Bloomington, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.  The Rev Bryce Hays will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour before the memorial service.

He died at 11:29 a.m. Sunday (Oct 27, 2002) at OSF St Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bloomington Public Library or to the American Red Cross.

He was born Feb 3, 1943, in Pontiac, the son of Vivian Lucy Taylor Walton.

Surviving are his mother, Vivian L Walton, Bloomington; one brother, Marcus L Walton, Danville; one sister, Martha (Don) Knoth, Jefferson City, Mo; two nieces, one nephew, and one great-nephew.

Norman was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington.

He had formerly worked at Schusters Furniture Store, Bloomington, that later became Cohen Furniture Store.  He later worked at the Dustcutter, Bloomington that is now know as the DaBar, Bloomington.

Norman was an avid bowler, he enjoyed all sports and he also was an avid reader.  He was a tissue donor.  He will be dearly missed by his family and close friends.
