John A Hendricks

John A Hendricks, 62, Bloomington, died at 2 a.m. Monday (March 20, 2006) at his home. 

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington.  Burial will be in the Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Illinois Heart and Lung Association.

He was born March 27, 1943, at Bloomington, to Lucy Bavaster Hendricks.  He married Ethel Leach on Feb 18, 1977, at Bloomington.  She still survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Julie (Chris) Brewer, Stanford; Betty Hendricks, Bloomington; Mandy (Josh) Dartt, Normal; and Melissa Hendricks, Bloomington; son, John (Amy) Hendricks, Rogers, AR; five grandchildren, Brittany and Stephanie Brewer, Ramsey Hendricks and Shelby and Jordan Hendricks; and sister, Sarah Klawitter, Normal.

His parents; brothers, Ernest Hendricks and twin brother Leonard Hendricks; and sister, Lucy Ann Anderson, preceded him in death.

Mr Hendricks retired from the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department and was a self-employed carpenter.  John was a graduate of Bloomington High School, Class of 1961.

Mr Hendricks was aloving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
