Terry Murch said Lindell went to Bloomington schools. I think he dropped back a grade in his sophomore year.

Lindell did attend school with us but I am not sure he graduated. I went to Irving school with him. His wife ran the cafeteria at GE.

Another  icon's of our age has left us, Annette Funicello.  I remember when she first appeared on the Mousketeers and all the boys had a crush on her.  Mostly because she developed a little earlier then the rest of us.  Sorry she's gone but she suffered a long time with MS and now she's free.  Happy entry into Heaven, Annette.

I thought that I would give everyone an update on me since I was in the hospital and nursing home for rehab.

I found out after visiting my doctor that I had bladder stones. In lateJanurary they removed the first the first batch but the found that there were too many to remove at that time (removed 100) so they rescheduled surgery (February 7). They were removed by opening up my bladder and remove the rest of them (found 100 more!).

My stay was a little longer in the hospital than was expected and lasted 23 days! I went thru a lot but they got me back. They put me Heartland Nursing Home for rehab until this last Monday when I got home. I lost all of my motor skills (walking) but have them back with a cane. I can walk without it but need to use it for a little help to get back to the basis.

When I discovered that I had this problem my blood pressure shot up. Found out that I am diabetic. My weight started out at a whopping 318 pounds! Since all of this my blood sugar is down where it belongs. Blood pressure is where it belongs. Have lost 62 pounds!

Got a long ways to go

Jeff

Hey! Hey!  It's the Monkees.  I'm going to see them next week.  I loved their show way back when.  I'm sure it will be a fun time.  Just wish Davie Jones was still alive to be part of the comeback.

The 50th reunion for the Class of 1963 is coming up in September. With so many being in town that week, Mary Selk wants to have all of us to sing to residents at Westminster Village. You didn't have to be in A Cappella nor in the Class of 1963 for this event. Please let me know if you can make it. You don't have to make the rehearsals to sing but she of course would rather you did. Mary Selk is 92 and this may be our last chance to honor her.

Here is what she wants to do: all singers from years 1960 to 1966 are invited to participate. Please let me know if you can make it. Some of you have already told me you can't but in order to omit you from the email, it takes a lot of extra work for me and with the reunion around the corner, I just don't have the time.

Thursday Sept. 26 at 7:30pm will be a rehearsal.

Friday Sept. 27 at 1:30pm will be another rehearsal.

Friday Sept. 27 at 3pm will be our performance.

We will be singing "Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor, No Man is an Island,  The Battle Hymn of the Republic, and Sing Noel". After that we will sing in unison, songs from Music Man and Brigadoon. Word sheets will be given out for there.

Everything takes place in Westminster Village Community Room.

Please make a special effort to do this. Mary Selk is and always a special lady and great teacher. Some of us owe her big time. :)

I'm in Connecticut and too far away to join you and Miss Selk - but how I remember singing those songs!  Please give Mary Selk my best, thank her for instilling in me a love of making music with a group - and tell her I'm still a choral singer .

Just a reminder about Mary Selk's musical gathering, first rehearsal is tonight at 7:30, then again tomorrow afternoon at 1:30pm. Performance will be at 3pm tomorrow. All of this is at Westminster Village Community Room. The Pantagraph called and they plan to cover this event. Be a part of this history. At 92 years old, how many more concerts will Mary lead? Don't kid yourself, knowing her, several. But this one is special. See you all tonight.

I more than 2nd Sharon's thank's to our veteran classmates because besides all our classmates that served, my brother's Danny & Marvin served their country.  I personally believe that every American could serve their country in some manner.  Many other countries ask ever person, male and female to serve two years.  It doesn't have to be as a soldier.  It could be as a nurse or secretary but if others serve their nation why should we, when we have the good fortune to live is the greatest country of all.

There is a contest that BHS is involved in that needs our help. They are competing for a $3,000 piano for A Cappella and need our votes. Go to http://www.literock107.com/ and vote on the high school contest.
